What does PLS mean?

PLS is the abbreviation for Pure Live Seed and is the percentage of live viable seed in a given lot. To calculate PLS, multiply the purity percentage by the germination percentage. For example, a purity of 95% multiplied by 85% germination equals an 80.75% PLS. This factor is used to give equal value to varying lots of seed of the same variety.
